On May 11th I’ll be running the Copenhagen Marathon and raising money for Hjernesagen (The Danish Stroke Association) - a cause that is now very close to my heart.

At the end of last year, my auntie sadly suffered a stroke that has left her with limited speech and loss of mobility in her right hand. While she is making progress with the help of rehabilitation, recovery is a long and challenging journey.

Each year, over 12 million people worldwide suffer a stroke, making it one of the leading causes of adult disability. Hjernesagen works to raise awareness while also ensuring that stroke survivors receive the best possible treatment and care on their rehabilitative journeys.
